"not for canada - australian in disguise" (for-canada)

It’s like a two door Baja mixed with one of the more contemporary Holden or Ford utes. I want one. You can even import one into Canada next year.

It could be interchangeable with some Evo parts because of its shared platform.

I think it’s based on the coupe/hatch, so the drivetrain won’t drop in. But the engine might.

I love how Americans always try to frame utes in the context of what they know. Everything is an -amino . As if Australia never had utes and the Ranchero never existed!
It’s not really like a Baja at all, it’s pretty much just a rebodied Lancer coupe. Similar to our Commodore/Falcon utes, but based off a much smaller and lighter car (and therefore with much less power and FWD).
Seriously, those Lancer coupes weigh like 935kg, I’d be very surprised if this weighed more than that.
There’s one that lives on my street.

It’s really the cladding that reminds me of the Baja.

MAYBE IT WAS
I’m secretly the CEO of Proton and I’m trying to get people to care about my manufacturer’s cars.

That’s what I was thinking, you’re completely correct.
If you happened to be obscenely rich you could probably just do whatever you wanted to it though. I’d blow my millions on it. ;)

I would too! And it would be a targa top and it wouldn’t be haggard as shit like this one (which is representative of all
Evo conversions
I feel)
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

What about a eclipse/talon drive train, it's shorter than the Evo.

But is it the same as the coupe/hatch/ute? If so, and they did base an awesome AWD car on the same wheelbase, that opens this whole thing right up!
Of course the next problem is that America has no Jumbucks and Australia has no Eclipses. Someone’s going to be importing.
Side note: I’d like to get a Jumbuck and turn it into a true Lancer ute. Just spend a few days heading down to the wreckers picking up Lancer bits, and do a full conversion, keeping everything as stock as possible. I like the Lancer/Mirage quite a lot, it’d be a neat little car.
Edit: like this! I can’t believe someone did this while resisting the urge to rice it! He even bothered to respray the damn thing!
has had a quick respray in Audi Sprint Blue, and the badges/stickers removed, Helps me forget that I drive a Jumbuck/Bumfuck/Dumbfuck etc lol
So down to earth! What a bro.
